What were the circumstances that caused you to look for a Financial Adviser?
I was reaching the age of 55 and was aware of the regulations in place relating to Pension Drawdown, and as per the legal requirement I had to take independent advice as to whether it was the right thing for me to do, transferring my Final Salary Scheme pension to a personal scheme with the ability to make a tax free cash drawdown of up to 25% of the transfer value.

Whereas I was very much thinking I wanted to make a transfer prior to my initial meeting with Paul, the actual process involved was a lot more involved than I realised. However, I completely understand why this is required as it is not as simple as "I want to transfer my pension, what forms do I need to fill in ? “. After everything that was explained I was very happy with the decision and outcome.
